Annals of Indian Academy of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, a publication of Indian Academy of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, is a peer-reviewed online journal with Quarterly print on demand compilation of issues published. The journal’s full text is available online at http://www.aiaohns.in. The journal allows free access (Open Access) to its contents and permits authors to self-archive final accepted version of the articles on any OAI-compliant institutional / subject-based repository.

Definitions, Classification and Staging of Middle Ear Cholesteatoma


The European Academy of Otology and Neurotology and the Japan Otological Society has jointly published a Consensus document on the ‘Definitions, Classification and Staging of Middle Ear Cholesteatoma’.  We hope that this system will be user-friendly and help in reporting surgical outcome. The aim of the classification and staging system is to aid comparison of surgical outcome amongst colleagues or institutions.
